SJB Rana, the Chief Justice of Nepal, has extended an olive branch by inviting the protesting attorneys to participate in a meeting aimed at putting an end to the protest.
The Chief Justice must resign, according to the attorneys. The present Chief Justice is to blame for all the current abnormalities in the supreme court, which is their main justification for the resignation.
All angry attorneys were ordered to cease protesting and meet with the Chief Justice to work out their issues.
Rana declared that he would take the advice offered by Justice Hari Krishna Karki into consideration. The recommendations were made to enhance the efficiency of the judicial system. Rana further stated that it was everyone's duty to settle legal disputes.
“The general public has started asking questions because of the allegations raised in the credibility of the judiciary. It is everyone’s duty to maintain the dignity and honor of the institution,” the Chief Justice said.
